The design of this site was as per the Pukka Up brand; typically glam, pink and sleek. Using a simple animated gif for their sparkly logo and giving them full browser backgrounds to really push their artwork.
The homepage boasts a wealth of jquery sliders pushing the latest gigs, the benefits of being a member and what else can be found on the site.
The media player API made readily available on the YouTube site was put into play with the Pukka Up TV page, pulling all their videos from their YouTube channel. Whilst GoogleMaps was utilized as what I like to call the Party Finder, where all the Pukka Up gigs are plotted on the world map along side the events listing for that extra detail clubbers need when planning their Pukka Up night! No more copying and pasting venue addresses into google to find the nearest tube or how to get there from home.
The stand alone pop out player is a must have for all clubbing sites and Pukka Up was no exception but the site also comes loaded with a seperate music section for downloadable tracks, each with their own preview clip.
All of the features of the site were built to be fully content managed. Whilst the news and events are all accessible as RSS feeds. The gallery is a typical hotspot for any club brand's website so it has been equipped with the facility to buy the photos as well as send to a friend or share on facebook.
